WPL BIKE has recently undergone a formula upgrade for our suspension oil line. This has been the result of collaboration with top suspension brands in the industry who have helped identify the areas for improvement that could take our suspension oil from an already popular product among suspension mechanics to the leading product in the industry on every metric.

Mechanics lean towards using WPL for its bio-based features: zero toxicity means you can touch without neoprene gloves on, no risk of poisoning through inhalation, easy disposal, and a better product for the environment. Learn more about our excluded chemicals list here: https://wplbike.com/pages/excluded-chemicals

The areas identified for improvement are the following: cold temperature resistance, oxidative stability, seal compatibility, and anti-wear. Learn more about these metrics here. https://wplbike.com/pages/suspension-oil-specs

Below you will find comparative data on viscosities and VI’s between our oils and competitor’s oils as measured in our own laboratories. As you will find we rank highly among them and this is in addition to our superior lubricity properties which has garnered attention over the years. So what does this tell you?

From this chart we want to showcase all of our suspension oil viscosities and our improvements on cold temperature performance. We understand that as mountain bikers we often find ourselves in conditions that are not ideal for our suspensions. Having the same performance from your suspension in cold temperatures is something we are continually trying to improve which is evident with our latest formulas. With that being said, there are certain oils formulated for use in different suspensions so make sure you are choosing the oil that's right for you and your suspension.
